Cotton Inspectors

  • Enter any factory or other place which he has reasons to believe is used as purchasing centre or for the maintenance of any records, registers or other documents pertaining thereto
  • Examine weigh bridge or scales or weights used, kept or possessed for the weighment and purchase of cotton or cotton seeds
  • Cause carts 10or motor vehicles or trolleys carrying cotton or cotton seed to be weighed or re-weighed in his presence likewise, causes cotton or cotton seed being carried in motor trucks or trailers or trolleys or rail wagons to be weighed or re-weighed in his presence
  • Examine the prescribed registers and check such other record, registers or documents as are maintained;
  • Check the relevant weighments, purchases and payments
  • Call from the occupier, manager or cotton dealer any information relating to the purchase of cotton or cotton seed
  • Examine the relevant registers of factories about the payment of wages
  • Examine the crop of cotton growing in the field and the relevant record pertaining to the seed sown;
  • Record the statement of any person or persons whom he may deem necessary to examine for the proper discharge of his duties
  • Exercise in good faith such other powers as he may deem necessary for carrying out the purposes of the Ordinance and these rules
  • Enter any factory
  • Examine any machinery used or kept or possessed for ginning or pressing of cotton, or for the extraction of oil from cotton seed
  • Examine such registers, returns, documents accounts as are maintained and are in opinion necessary to examine for the purposes of his enquiry or report

Agriculture Pesticides Inspectors

  • Inspect any premises wherein any pesticide is being manufactured or formulated, the means employed for quality control and testing of pesticides and all records and registers relating thereto
  • Inspect any premises wherein any pesticide is being sold or stocked or exhibited for sale or is being distributed, the storage arrangements and all relevant records and registers relating thereto
  • Take samples of any pesticide which is being manufactured or formulated or being sold or is stocked or exhibited for sale or is being distributed and forward them for test or analysis in accordance with these rules provided that a sample shall not exceed two pounds (one kilogram) in quantity
  • Enter and search, at all reasonable times, with such assistance, if any, as he considers necessary, any building vessel or place, in which he has reason to believe from personal knowledge or from information given by any person and taken down in writing that an offence under the Ordinance or these rules has been or is being committed
  • Seize such pesticide and all materials used in the manufacture there of and all other articles including registers, cash memos, invoices, bills which he has reason to believe may furnish evidence of the commission of an offence punishable under the Ordinance or these rules

Deputy/Assistant Fertilizer Controller

  • Requiring any person to give such information as he possesses with respect to any business in fertilizer carried on by that person or any other person
  • Inspect or cause to be inspected any book or other document belonging to or under the control of any person
  • Enter and search or authorize any person to enter and search any premises and seize or to take into possession or authorize any person to seize or to take into possession fertilizer {and samples of fertilizers} in respect of which he has reason to believe that a contravention of this Order has been or is being, or is about to be committed and any records connected therewith
  • Apply for police assistance or authorize any person to apply for police assistance and the police officer to whom he applies shall provide such assistance as may be necessary for the purpose of seizure or taking into possession fertilizer and samples of fertilizer or the material mentioned in sub-clause (4) of clause 18, for analysis
